Meet one small bug, and the two agents who never met each other.

“I saved $79 and the card still says $99.” Deiko hands that to Claude Code, with a screenshot of the price you circled.

Deiko starts a task for it: “Price still shows $99 after saving”. You didn’t name anything. It did.

What stays on your Mac, and what goes out to sort a brief
Straight answers. The first guess at a match happens on your Mac; a short trip out settles it. Here’s exactly what makes that trip.
Stays on your Mac
- Every brief and its screenshots, in a folder in your Documents.
- Your tasks and their notes: where each one stands, what was decided, what agents wrote back.
- The text on your screen. It helps shortlist likely tasks, right here, and never goes out for sorting.
- The first guess. Your Mac shortlists the tasks a brief most likely belongs to, up to twenty.
We don’t have a copy of any of this. There’s no account to keep it in.
Goes out to sort a brief
- What you said, and a one-line summary of it.
- Window and page titles, and web addresses without anything after the “?”.
- Names of what you had open: the app, the document, the project, the ticket.
- Short notes on those shortlisted tasks: their names, where they stand, what was decided.
- Never a screenshot, and never text read off your screen.
Deiko’s server answers “same piece of work or not?” and keeps none of it. Rather it didn’t go at all? Switch off Sort briefs into tasks in Settings; then nothing is sent for sorting, and you file things by hand.
You’re the boss of the board
- Move anything, any timeFiled in the wrong place? Drag it to the right task. Deiko never re-sorts something you placed.
- Your answer is finalWhen the card asks “Which one?”, what you tap sticks. If you don’t tap, your agent gets both options and asks you if it’s still unclear.
- The drawer is not a binOdds and ends keeps your mic checks and small talk out of the way. Pull anything out into a task.

Questions people actually ask
Is Deiko watching my screen all the time?
No. It only looks when you start a brief, with a double tap of Right Option, and a red capsule with a timer shows the whole time. When you stop, it stops.
Where does all this memory live?
In a folder on your Mac: ~/Documents/Deiko. Tasks, notes, briefs and screenshots, all there. We don’t keep a copy, and there’s no account for one to live in.
What if it files something in the wrong place?
Move it. Your placement is final, and Deiko won’t shuffle it back. And when it isn’t sure in the first place, it asks before filing.
Does my agent have to do anything special?
No. The note about where things stand arrives inside the brief, so any agent can read it. Coding agents like Claude Code, Cursor and Codex can also write back what they did; browser chats like ChatGPT read along but don’t write back.
Does Deiko read my code?
No. Your agent does the coding. Deiko just hands it the story so far: what you said, what you pointed at, and what earlier agents wrote down.
Can I turn the sorting off?
Yes: Settings, then Sort briefs into tasks. With it off, nothing is sent to sort briefs, and a new brief joins earlier work only when you move it there, or when it’s a quick follow-up in the same window.
Can I clear it all out?
It’s your folder. Delete a brief, a task, or the whole thing, and it’s gone. Nothing is waiting on a server to bring it back.
